About Beth

Hi! Beth Ann Ziarnik here. I’m an avid fan and author of romantic suspense. For good reason. What’s more exciting than a hero and heroine racing to outwit life-threatening danger? Well, and overcoming obstacles to their growing love relationship?

Wow! That’s a mouthful, isn’t it? But you know what I mean.

As you can imagine, my voracious reading of romantic suspense led me to a desire to write my own. Finding a literary agent to represent me and a publisher willing to risk releasing a new author’s work proved challenging.

Release and Awards

What excitement then, when in December 2014, Lighthouse Publishing of the Carolinas offered a contract for my debut novel. Her Deadly Inheritance released in January 2016 and, by God’s grace, became an Amazon top seller and captured two awards:

  •  2016 “Writer of the Year” at the Write-To-Publish Conference
  •  the 2017 “Selah for First Novel” at the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference

Her Deadly Reunion followed in November 2018, and you guessed it.  During their second story, Jill and Clay can’t seem to stay out of trouble. Which may account for readers saying they couldn’t put it down and couldn’t wait for the next one.

Future Novels

I currently have four romantic suspense novels in various stages of development. During the third novel of the Jill Shepherd Suspense Series, Jill and Clay will once again be steeped in action and danger–worse than ever before. But there is more. I’m hot on the trail of writing an exciting series of historical romantic suspense novels. Set during the pre-Civil War era, Celia and David’s three-book story ends when the guns fire at Fort Sumter.

My Nonfiction Adventure

As a long-time women’s Bible study teacher, I recently added writing Christian nonfiction. So far, Diet No More for those who struggle with dieting issues, and Dream to Destination to encourage aspiring novelists.

My Other Life

When not writing, I love my quiet time with the Lord, reading, taking care of my one-acre yard, working jigsaw puzzles, camping and other time with my two sons and their families, and going to lunch with friends.

Word & Pen Christian Writers here in Wisconsin and friends world-wide through American Christian Fiction Writers also keep me busy.

Though I often miss my husband of 47 years who went to heaven, I can honestly say I’m blessed. God is good!
